We present the designs and artist’s impressions to you in the comfort of your own home. We’ll walk you through the intent and reasoning behind each choice, ensuring everything aligns with your vision. At Your Storey, we know that great design often takes refinement, so we’ll work through any revisions together until we achieve the perfect result for you
Once the design stage is finalised, our in-house builders will provide an accurate project cost. It’s important for both you and our team that you feel confident about the costs from the very beginning, especially before lodging any necessary documentation to the Council or Certifier for approval
A payment of the first 5% of the total build cost covers this stage, giving you confidence that everything is in order before the project moves forward. We handle all the preliminaries and prepare the necessary documentation to get your project approved. This includes detailed plans, drawings, and supporting papers for submission to both the Council (for planning approval) and a Certifier (for building approval). Many builders outsource this work, but we do it all in-house, making the process simpler, faster, and more cost-effective
Once your project has been approved by the Council or Certifier, we’ll prepare the building contracts for signing. We know this part can feel daunting, but don’t worry. Our team has extensive experience with Housing Industry Association (HIA) residential building contracts and will guide you through every detail, making the process simple and straightforward
Generally our projects run for 18–22 weeks from start to finish. More complex projects can take longer, but we’ll keep you updated every step of the way so there are no surprises
The moment you’ve been waiting for — moving into your dream home. After weeks of planning, approvals, and construction, it’s time to enjoy the space you’ve helped create. We’ll conduct a final walkthrough with you to ensure everything is exactly as expected and any minor adjustments are addressed.
